PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

 

 

Dear Friends.

Firstly, I thank all the members who attended the 17th AGM on the 16th March 2019 and for the unanimous decision to call upon me to be the President for the  3rd Consecutive year, bestowing faith in my leadership. The Burgher Association held an EGM in February to determine whether we had an interested membership to see the Association go forward. At this EGM there were voices that expressed their concerns and wanted the BA to continue. However the responses we received to our letter of interest which was circulated at this event did not really show the enthusiasm as was voiced.

At the AGM, the response in attendance was quite contradictory to the EGM. The young and the strong were there in their numbers. This prompted me to reconsider relinquishing of the Presidency to continue to support the BA as I had the support of all. Therefore I cry out loud, “JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL” and show me the way to take this committee forward to greater heights to be able to bring together the Burgher Community together to enjoy our ride.

So come one and come all in your numbers and be the strength of the re-rising of this Burgher Association. May God Bless us all.”
